Goose Creek Transit

Overview

The Goose Creek Transit program is a new program operated by The Hub on Smith, a CSBG Sub-Grantee of Sheridan County. The program offers a free, fixed-route bus service for those in Sheridan County’s city limits. The bus operates seven days a week, providing transportation to its riders through fixed stops. The stops include apartment complexes (including low-income housing units), the county courthouse, grocery stores, the hospital, recreation center, and more. The program is currently completing its pilot year. CSBG is the primary funder of this program, and in future years of operation, the agency hopes to diversify program funding and programming.
